Last year, the girls had a solid season with an overall score of 9-8. On Thursday, March 2, the girls soccer team played their first scrimmage. They played Amherst at home and the game started at 6:30 p.m..
This was their first game under their new head coach Carrie Dietz. The Wildcats played hard for their first scrimmage together as a team, but still lost to Ammherst 3-1. Sophomore Anna Feldman scored the goal for the team.
Senior Elsa Kerin-Rice plays wing for the girls soccer team. This is her second season with the team.
“I think the team did great for the first scrimmage of the season! We went in without much practice as a unit, but we found connections and kept our heads up. I’m excited for the rest of the season!” Kerin-Rice said.
The girls soccer team played hard for their first scrimmage and look forward to the season ahead of them. They have another scrimmage on Tuesday March 10 at Heritage High School. Make sure to go and support the soccer team during the duration of the spring season!
