Marking their first group project since 2022, globally renowned K-pop group BLACKPINK, released their third mini album “DEADLINE” on Feb. 27, 2026.
The album features five new tracks, including the lead single “GO” and their previously released single “JUMP.”
The other plays include, “ Me and my,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy.”
This time the extended play featured an experimental blend of dark-EDM trap, anthemic rock, and high-energy pop. The songs explored themes of confidence, independence, and personal dreams.
The extended play sold over 1.46 million copies on the first day of its release. It also became the highest first-day album sales ever recorded by a K-pop girl group. In addition, the album recorded almost 1.75 million sales during the early tracking period, which placed it immediately at the top of weekly album rankings.
The song “JUMP” had already created excitement within fans before its release, becoming No.1 on various global charts after its earlier release as a comeback single in 2025.
The lead single “Go” is the centerpiece of the project. It has a bold chorus, strong rap verses, and a dynamic choreography, capturing the group’s signature style, but with a bit more experimental sound.
The album also ties into the group’s “Deadline World Tour,” which took place across major global cities. The tour wrapped up shortly after the album’s release.
The release of the album was highly anticipated by fans worldwide. Following “Born Pink,” the members- Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa- focused heavily on their solo careers.
Despite their independent decisions, the group announced their commitment to continue as a group after renewing their contract with YG Entertainment in 2023.
As a result of the long break, the mini album represented a significant reunion moment for both artists and fans.
This was yet another exciting chapter for not only the group, but also their fans known as “BLINKS.” Deadline marks another milestone for BLACKPINK, and the group still serves as one of the most influential girl groups.
