FBLA pushes through COVID-19

Adam Elrod, Reporter

Future Business Leaders of America is one of the many clubs that RCHS offers. Recently, with COVID-19 regulations, school clubs have been mostly inactive. However, FBLA has started taking steps to normalize the way their club runs. Freshman Hallie Darmante is the new reporter for FBLA.

Although FBLA is virtual, they are still having regular meetings and learning about the club.

As far as functioning in regards to COVID-19, FBLA plans on making this year no different from the previous years. We believe that we can still , virtually, find ways to connect with the student body and continue to display leadership skills,” said Darmante.

One goal of FBLA is to find ways to spread their club to the student body.

“So far this year, we have had two meetings where we discussed ways to create opportunities for the student body to learn about and get involved with FBLA,” said Darmante. “One future idea is a meet and greet (scheduled for sometime next week) where the students can learn about the newly appointed officers and also play games and ask any questions regarding FBLA.”

FBLA is also planning virtual events that anyone can participate in.

“We are also planning on a virtual escape room for late December.” said Darmante. “We are also planning on starting an Instagram account this year, along with a Google Classroom to promote FBLA and help keep the students up to date on all of our latest ideas and events.”
