On Friday Sept. 15, the Wildcats went head to head with the Blacksburg Bruins. Making them 0-4 with the final score of 20-38.

Leading into halftime the Bruins lead the Cats 38-0. The Wildcats regrouped in the locker room and returned to the field to score three touchdowns and attempt three, two point conversions, with only two being successful.

Senior running back Caiden Cavazos gave his thoughts on the game.

“Our strongest moment in the game was definitely in the second half. After we scored our first touchdown. We really started to pick up some momentum and I felt like all of us played more confidently and stronger, on both defense and offense,” said Cavasos.

The Wildcat’s will face East Rockingham on Sept. 29.
