Cats’ Trample East Rock

To begin the Region 3c volleyball tournament the Wildcats faced the East Rock Eagles at home on Oct 31. In the first set the Eagles got the jump on the Cats’ winning the first set 25-22. The Wildcats came out hot in the second set and shut them down winning that set 25-16.

Sophomore defensive specialist Ava Crocker had some amazing spikes against the Eagles.

“I was definitely nervous but also excited to play against East Rock. Our energy during the first set was low but as we went on we got even more determined to win. My strongest moment during the game was when I dove and got a ball up during serve receive and we got the point,” said Crocker. 

Senior Mckenzie Burch accomplished 2,000 career assists. 

The student section showed out bringing their best Halloween costumes. 

Their record is now 21-0. The next game will be Thursday against Spottswood.

Junior Cameron Terry is a second year reporter and  first year sports editor. As a sports editor, she is eager to learn more about the various sports terminologies, expand her horizons, and meet new people throughout RCHS. Outside of the classroom, Terry is a National Honors Society member, a captain on the cheer team, and a competition cheerleader. When she is not shopping, sleeping, or procrastinating, she enjoys watching pretty sunsets, eating muffins, and driving around. Although Terry does not have a full - time  job, she often finds herself babysitting small children and dogs for her family and friends.
