Tuesday, April 23 the Wildcats traveled to East Rockingham High School to face the Eagles. Junior pitcher Brady Edwards started the game for the Wildcats, but the Eagles came out hot scoring 6 runs in the first inning.

The Wildcats suffered an injury to their centerfielder Nolan Stines, and had to make a change to the field.

Junior Brady Edwards came in to relieve Edwards in the fourth to finish out the game.

“Pitching against Eastrock was certainly a challenge, considering they are a very good team, I did whatever I coud to keep us in the game,”said Edwards.

Junior JP Welsh came in to relieve Edwards in the fourth quarter to finish out the game.

The final score for the Wildcats was 3-13. This game brought the Cats’ record to 2-7. The Wildcats will face Staunton May 2.
