The Grammys is a night dedicated to music awards, but for me it is all about fashion. I love watching all my favorite artists walk the red carpet and I always pick my Favorites. This year My top pics were Doechii, Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, Olivia Dean, and Lady Gaga.
My favorite looks were graded by color and uniqueness.
Doechii was my clear favorite because I loved the color scheme of her look. The warm Burnt Orange top, with string detail and the Silky, ruched bottom. I give her a 5/5 for color and uniqueness.
Sabrina Carpenter stood out to me for her elegant and polished look. Her dress was simple, but complex, with the addition of the sequins and the corset. I loved the ruffles on her dropped waist dress and her fluttery cap sleeves. I give her a 4/5 for color but a 5/5 for uniqueness.
Benson Boone has my third place because he managed to be classy yet pull it off. Sometimes less is more, and Benson Boone proved that. I liked that his suit was black velvet, it felt on theme for the February setting. I give it a ⅗ for color and a 5/5 for uniqueness.
Olivia Dean was my next favorite. I loved her feather and sequin top with the contrast of her white poofy bottom. She had a very simple look, but I really like the way she executed it. In addition to her dress, she had statement silver earrings. I feel like on the red carpet, people usually look for the dresses, but I like how Olivia Dean used her jewelry to stand out. I give her a ⅗ for color and a ⅘ for uniqueness.
Finally, Lady Gaga is my last pic. Lady Gaga is known for having fierce, and bold looks and she did not shy away this time. The figure of her dress with the hourglass corset and the long father trail stunned me. I loved the neck that crawled up to her chin. I did think it would be a prettier look if she used a color other than black. If she used multicolored feathers, it would have looked prettier. That’s why I rate her look a ⅕ for color and a ⅖ for uniqueness.
The Grammys this year were especially fun to find my favorite looks, and I can’t wait to see what next year’s style has to bring.
