Harrisonburg Defeats ‘Cats

The boys’ basketball team took a tough loss to Harrisonburg on Dec. 7, with a final score of 55-45. The game began with a shot by junior Alex Balisteri, followed by a shot by junior Jalik Lynch. The first quarter ended with a three-pointer by sophomore Aaron Plogger, leaving the ‘Cats down at 15-7.

The second quarter began with a three-pointer by Ben Balisteri, continued by a shot by Lynch. In the final seconds of the second quarter, Ben Balisteri brought the ‘Cats closer witha score 23-14with a lay-up.

The third quarter started off with a three-pointer and shot by senior Caleb Walker, as well as a shot by Lynch. Senior Cole Higgins scored the last six points of the third quarter, leaving the ‘Cats trailing behind with a score of 39-30.

Despite shots made from Alex Balisteri and sophomore Aaron Plogger, the ‘Cats continued to trial behind the Streaks. Plogger continued to score four more points. The game ended with a shot by Alex Balisteri and the game ended with a final score of 55-45. Their current record is 3-2.
