Last Friday, March 18 proved to be a promising night for the RCHS Boys Varsity Soccer Team. The team had two scrimmages in the previous weeks to touch up on some details and to fine-tune their performance. The hard work from the month’s practices paid off as the boys showed keen communication, soft touches, and strong endurance, all focus points during training.

At the game at and against Staunton High School, the Wildcats fell 3-2 but were encouraged by their performance.

Goals were scored by seniors JT Loughhead and Adam Elrod and the goal was defended honorably with exceptional performances from seniors Seamus Looney and Zach Bean, and sophomore Micah Mayr.

“We are thrilled with the way we played despite the outcome and it showed that we could have a very successful season,” said Mayr.
