Social media has many effects on teens’ everyday lives. It can be good at some points but brutal at others. Some people use it as a place to show others a bit of their life and give advice. However, others use it as a place to attack someone’s beliefs and emotions without having to come face-to-face with them.

Seeing people’s bodies online makes people assume you have to look like that. It can cause you to try to change the way you look which can destroy who you truly are. There is no reason that someone shouldn’t feel beautiful in their own skin.

Social media not only affects the physical aspects of teens’ lives, it also takes a toll on their mental health. It can cause depression and anxiety which affects people’s daily lives. One rude comment can change someone forever. Recognize the effects that just a few words can make on people’s lives. Change your attitude to make social media a better and safer place for teenagers to be.

The ages that kids are allowed to have social media is getting lower and lower so the things that people are allowed to put online should be more regulated. However, it is up to the parent to decide when they feel their child should be exposed to the negativity that comes with social media.

While social media does have some negative aspects, it also has some good qualities that can be helpful and fun. It is a place for people to communicate with others that are far away. It also helps people better understand what culture is like in other places without having to travel there.

Social media is full of different apps like Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat, BeReal, and many more. People can become famous on these apps for all sorts of things such as decorating a cake or making fun of people. The new app called BeReal pressures people to take a picture of themselves and allows others to react however they want.

There are pros and cons to social media. It just depends on the way you look at it and how your experiences have been on it.
